The Yarilo Music Ensemble’s concert on May 31, 2008, with guests Marc Destrubé, violin, Heather Pawsey, soprano, and Kathryn Cernauskas, flute, crossed a new threshold in the fulfillment of its mandate to present new, and entirely different repertory to an enthusiastic and curious public. The concert featured and entire program of contemporary Bulgarian chamber music, some of it daring, all of it challenging, and all of which was heard in Canada for the first time.
